Located somewhere in the ends of Disneyland, ZOIS (Alexander Chmiel) is starting over his musical schemes coming as the songwriter, lead singer and guitarist from a Pop Punk Band. Still deeply rooted in the arms of punk-outfitted music, ZOIS combines the sweetest of alternative rocks, mostly California emo/punk influenced based instrumentals with catchy, sensitive and youthful but honest lyrics. Since he 2018 first dived into the science of music productions, ZOIS became a producer himself and started to take advantage of his excitement for many different genres, making him a versatile songwriter & artist who’s able to coalesce the finest of genres to realize intentional ideas. As you go through his discography, ZOIS musical evolution goes fast with a trend of hopping more and more back to where he musically came from. Releasing several singles, a four-single EP and a full length, his ways of expressing thoughts in music was becoming more and more mature, especially in Songs like „9 Minutes“ or „Scrapbooks“. Nevertheless, ZOIS doesn’t keep it a secret, that he himself claims the most of music as crude and misunderstood, due to feeling unchallenged, uncomfortable and faceless. While this was leading to troubles with identifications, he, as a workaholic in cases of music, decided to give his work a cut and come up with new approaches to his own songs. That’s how „Scars (feat. DVXO)“ and „Vulnerable (feat. Nigel)“ can be considered as products of new ambitions: Putting emotions first and getting his voice intentionally well adjusted to any mood - anywhere in between your graduation party and lethargic late night hours. No wonder then, the ambitious vocalist not only almost finished the work on his second full length, he and Nigel also reconsidered Wildyears Productions to soon come up as a highly promising music collective in alternative music containing ZOIS and Nigel themselves and their future band projects.
uk singer ro drops summer bop 'mykonos' and it's catchy enough to forget about 2020 cancelled trips9/17/2020
Following the success of recent release ‘low in the evenings’, which garnered support from James Threlfall (BBC Introducing) & Shell Zenner (Amazing Radio), Ro hasn’t left us waiting too long for the next hook. ‘mykonos’ is the latest delivery from the electro-pop producer and it promises to transport you somewhere white and blue.
Written in the midst of lockdown, ‘mykonos’ describes that feeling we can all currently relate to - wanting to get away. The track glides between dreamy moments of ambience and then slaps with a bass-driven punch in the chorus. Tinged with 80’s disco elements, the track brings a new sonic direction for Ro but still stays true to her pop roots and modern day references such as Christine & The Queens and Tei Shi. 'mykonos' was released on 28 August 2020 and has already accumulated over 10k streams on Spotify within the first two weeks. Check it out via Spotify below.

Having kicked off this year featuring on a host of 2020 hot lists (2FM ‘Rising Artist of 2020’, Goldenplec ‘Plec Pics’ for 2020 and named as one of Her.ie’s ‘Ones To Watch’ for 2020), the genre bending Moncrieff released his brand-new single PLAYLOUD in July 2020, and is available on all streaming platforms.
His debut body of work ‘The Early Hurts’ EP featured lead track ‘Like I Do’ - his debut radio single (released in Sept 2019) received extensive airplay across national radio, racking up nearly 12 million audience impressions. The success of the single and EP led to Moncrieff selling out his first headline show in Dublin in less than 3 hours. Moncrieff’s growing reputation also landed support slots touring with headline Irish acts Picture This and Walking on Cars. Moncrieff's own headline Irish tour was set for early this year and has been rescheduled for later dates. Having spent most of early 2020 in the solitude of his friend and co-producer Toby Scott’s home studio in Brighton, Moncrieff has unearthed a body of work that's stirs a mix of genres into his own sonic sound, that’s both intoxicating and invigorating. This new chapter sees Moncrieff explore his role and place as a young person transitioning into adulthood in a world that seems to be getting crazier by the day, capturing the zeitgeist of an ever changing musical and cultural landscape along the way. Speaking about the song, Moncrieff says - “PLAYLOUD was written as a call to arms, to anyone who feels frustrated and alienated by society. A world where greed, consumption and the desire to make money trumps all. With Global leaders not doing enough to tackle (and some outright denying) the threats of climate change, and the growing gap between the rich and the poor. Since the song was written in January, we’ve seen two of the world's biggest leaders fumble through a global pandemic, with thousands of lives needlessly lost, as well as the continued systemic racism and police brutality inflicted upon the black community in the states and the UK". Moncrieff explains that “PLAYLOUD stands as an act of defiance and social disobedience by the youth, to not allow the failings of those in power to stand in the way of their pursuit of happiness and self-expression. The youth want to be free to determine their own destiny as individuals - to live life to the fullest, as the truest and most unapologetic version of yourself you can be, no matter if the world feels like it could end tomorrow".
Singer-songwriter Elina Filice is set to release a new music video for her most successful single yet, “Thinking of You.” The video features several distinct locations in Toronto as well as vibrant colours, quick cuts, and creative camera work by Toronto-based filmmaker Phil Kim. The video is co-starred by Ally Cantalini.
The video follows Elina on an adventure from Kensington Market, to the Island Ferry, to Toronto Island, and then finally back home to the bedroom. She says, “The song discusses themes of movement, travel, and adventure, so I wanted to capture that by shooting different scenes across the city.” She goes on to say, “The song is verbose, rambling, and nostalgic, with thoughts and memories swirling and haunting. I wanted to capture that with the scenes cutting forward and back in time. I want viewers to wonder if the scenes with Ally are happening in real time or if they’re memories and flashbacks, and the journey is really happening alone.” Elina says, “The video is pretty gay. It’s a little nerve-wracking to be this gay on camera, but... this is my life, this is my friends’ lives. Queer visibility is important, and as a creator, honest content like this is my way of fighting to normalize queerness and queer love. I think it’s important to recognize that feeling safe enough to be openly out, let alone shooting a music video like this, isn't possible for a lot of queer people around the world.” She goes on to say, “Queerness, especially between women, is usually blatantly oversexuallized, so I wanted the scenes between myself and Ally to be intimate and loving, and not at all sexual. There’s enough of that on the internet.” “Thinking of You” has over 228k streams on Spotify, and enjoyed news coverage from dozens of outlets following its release including Earmilk, Hot Press, For The Love Of Bands, and The Last Mixed Tape. The song has spent over twelve weeks on Spotify Editorial Playlist, “Butter.” With funky guitar licks, an infectious beat, and a stuck-in-your-head chorus, “Thinking of You” is a genre-defying track that melds pop and funk influences with modern hip-hop sounds, while still full of Elina’s signature thoughtful lyrics, catchy hooks, and strong storytelling. About Elina: Born to Canadian parents, Elina spent her formative years in Singapore before moving to Canada to attend University. In September 2017 she moved to Dublin to pursue music more seriously, and completed two diplomas at BIMM Dublin. She has released an EP and several singles, and has gigged extensively both on her own and with her band, the Kicks. She founded Red Vine Music, a coaching and consulting service that helps artists and creative businesses with digital marketing, social media, and content strategies.
Sophie Doyle Ryder is a 18 Y/O Singer-Song writer from Malahide. The Dublin born artist has drawn comparisons to Rihanna, Ariana Grande and Anne Marie.
After the success of her first two singles, she is so excited to release her latest single 'Too Much'. Too Much is a heart-felt empowering song about a fresh breakup, she sings as if she were speaking to him. “I wrote the song about a relationship that was super one-sided. I felt like it was always me giving and always him taking.” Sophie hopes that this song can help people explore their feelings of heartbreak and healing. The confusion and conflict of wanting to save a relationship, but eventually feeling strong enough to stand up for themselves. Sophie loves artists such as Ariana Grande, Alicia Keys, Rihanna and Lady Gaga. The authenticity of these artists is what inspires Sophie to take her personal experience and turn it into relatable music. In a short 11 months Sophie has grown into her own style of music and has found her unique sound. 2019 saw Sophie release her debut track 'Mood'. She has been dubbed as ‘One To Watch’ by a lot of music media and promoters. Sophie’s song writing is always personal, always about a real situation whether it’s her own personal story or a friends’. She finds that song writing is a form of therapy. She’s been writing ever since she was 10. Sophie is very excited for her first headline show with MCD in Whelan’s (Upstairs) on 6th March 2021. It will feature some unreleased music and some epic covers with a world class band.
