‘Space Out!’ is the latest quirky single from indie pop artist Ellie Dixon. Inspired by artists like Easy Life and Still Woozy, it’s an explosion of introspection and fantasy about spending too much time in your head and feeling detached from reality. It's full of tongue-incheek sci-fi imagery coloured by Ellie’s trademark playful delivery and infinitely layered backing vocals.

It was completely self-produced during lockdown, and features playful percussion from glass jars to rattling pots, sparkling synths, rich and groovy basslines, and no shortage of unusual effects and samples. Ellie also designed a line of merchandise and animated a lyric video to go along with the release.

21 year old Ellie Dixon is a completely self-managed and self-produced artist based in Cambridge and London described as an "indie pop wunderkind". She produces upbeat, punchy bops with groove and a sense of humour, expressing life lessons and frustrations through witty lyrics, earworm melodies and joyous production. 

She blends childhood singer/ songwriter and jazz influences such as KT Tunstall with the groovy pop, indie and R&B that drives her music today including the likes of Anderson .Paak, Easy Life, Still Woozy and Duckwrth. She takes DIY music to the max, always including unusual and fun sample easter
eggs in her production - from microwave door slams to glass bottles. Her music oozes personality, creativity and a love for the unconventional - you can guarantee you won't be bored.

Ellie has been generating attention with her DIY covers where she recreates songs using everyday objects, receiving high praise including from the original artists. Her cover of Lush Life using rubber bands was played to Zara Larsson on Glamour Magazine’s YouTube channel - “I’m obsessed” and “beautiful, beautiful tone” are a few quotes. Her covers have also been reposted by Still Woozy, Glass Animals and Easy Life, which has helped double her fan base over the last month.

She secured a sync deal for her song ‘Freak’ (in her latest EP Growing Pains) to be featured in the film ‘Spinster’ starring Chelsea Peretti which was released in Canada and the USA over the last 6 months.

​Her last two singles were featured on BBC 6 Music on Tom Robinson’s BBC Introducing Mixtape, she performed live for BBC Introducing for broadcast on BBC Look East, performed at Cambridge Folk Festival in 2018 and was due to play two slots at Camp Bestival this summer.​​

Liverpool based 5-piece Seprona have recently announced the release of their next single 'Rose Tinted Eyes', which is due for official release on the 7th August 2020, following the success from their previous singles. 

Delivering a distinctly northern/scouse style, Seprona have seen support from the likes of BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, Radio X, ITV This Morning, Fred Perry Subculture, Scotts Menswear, Gigwise and both Liverpool and Everton Football clubs.

As Seprona have started to build their fanbase nationally, known for their energetic and witty live shows, this new single is highly anticipated. 

This new single presents Seprona at their finest, a fast-paced track with extremely catchy hooks throughout, and a chorus which they will soon have fans screaming back at them on stages throughout the UK.

The song really tells a story captured with highly detailed lyricism by Daniel Badger, with comparisons to Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) and Liam Fray (Courteeners). 

The track was recorded in Liverpool's Parr Street Studios, (Blossoms, Coldplay, The Coral, Justin Bieber, Rihanna) with Alex Quinn taking the role as producer. A partnership that has been developed over several years.  ​

DAYANA is a Scottish-Colombian singer who writes and performs around the country with her talented band members.

Proudly growing up in one of the most destitute areas of Edinburgh, Scotland, DAYANA's voice gave her wings that from her humble home brought her to London. DAYANA and her band have released their first two singles and EP.

DAYANA have played in various venues in London including: Fiddlers Elbows, Hootannany Brixton, Camden Assembly, Notting Hill Arts Club and they played at a famous rock bar at the Bannermans in Edinburgh and sold out for a great show. They have also recently performed at three Sofar Sounds and will be the main support for the band Wishbone Ash in October 2020.
 
DAYANA's new song 'The Real Me' is a story about a girl who falls in love with a man and doesn't have the guts to tell him. It starts off quiet and unsure, when she finally explodes and needs to let her emotions out and this is heard with the build up in the song. It is hugely influenced from her favourite bands Tool and Rival sons. DAYANA ​really wants to take her fans to a whole new world with this song and also allow them to feel lost in it.

Parisian singer-songwriter Juliet Ariel released her brand new single “Summer Luv” on 3rd July 2020.
The track will be available through AWAL and is taken from her upcoming EP, “Endless Summer”, which is expected later this year.

Announcing the new single Juliet says:
“I wanted to make a song that could bring back summer all year long, to endlessly remind me of the good times and capture the nostalgia of a summer romance, a feeling that everyone must have experienced at least once in their life. Irish singer & performer Craig Cooney is back with a brand new single, which will be released on all streaming platforms on the 17th July 2020. 'Young Forever' is a laid back, chilled reminiscent track where Craig reflects on his childhood memories. It has a very mellow vibe to it and along with its catchy chorus is sure to strike emotion with the listeners and take them on a trip down memory lane.

Throughout the track a young small choir can be heard, which really makes the song much fuller and adds a beautiful sound to it. A wide range of instruments on the track make it a foot tapping, head nodding track. It is a song that can be enjoyed driving in your car, unwinding on your own or whilst enjoying a get together with friends and family.

‘I Don’t Wanna Dance’ is the brand new single from Manchester’s Ellysse Mason. 

Upbeat, uplifting and unapologetically feel-good, the single is the follow up to
‘Something Good’ which soared into 7 different international New Music Friday playlists on Spotify. 
“I was so happy with the response to the last single but I’m even more excited for people to hear ‘I Don’t wanna Dance’. I think this song really represents me as an artist right now and clearly shows the direction I’m taking my music in.” 

Sitting once again in the Alt-Pop category and drawing inspiration from the 80’s, this track is probably
 more Pop than Alt. It’s full of excitement and optimism and represents another shift in gear for
 Ellysse’s writing and production style. It’s a statement about wanting to do things differently.  

“…it’s like when you’re at a party or in a club and the music is blaring and everyone is going at 
100 miles an hour and shouting over each other. You’re with someone, but you can’t connect 
with them in that environment. You just want to be alone with them, get on a train and run away
 somewhere you can be yourself…” 

Synth driven from the very first note, the driving beat kicks in after the first few lines of vocal and 
carries you right through to the widescreen, hook-laden chorus. It’s uplifting, feel good nature is 
reminiscent of music you might play on a road trip in high Summer with the windows rolled right

The video accompanying the song is a sparkling dreamscape which delves even deeper into 
Ellysse’s fascination with all things outer space. “I basically want to be an astronaut” she laughs,

London alt rock duo Plastic Barricades is releasing “Tunnel”, the third single from the upcoming LP “SelfTheories”. The track comes with a trippy music video that continues the tradition of unaltered DIY approach and was shot using a microscope.

Sometimes it feels like life is this winding road with plenty of tunnels. You go in, it is dark and uneasy, and pretty soon you start wondering how long is this tunnel. Visibility is reduced, you cannot really increase your speed or turn back. It starts to feel claustrophobic. Your thoughts are amplified, reverberating in your head. All you can do is keep reminding yourself that no tunnel lasts forever and you will make it out of this one, like all the previous ones you've been to - and you will see sunlight again!
