HXNEY is an Irish raised artist who is a Nigerian descendant, with both parents from Nigeria. 
HXNEY decided to implement her native language (Yoruba) into her recent single to pay homage to the culture.

HXNEY who currently lives in the UK, travels to Dublin regularly for creative work and gatherings with friends and family.

HXNEY is a versatile artist and songwriter with the ability to tap into any genre “effortlessly”. She thrives however, in Modern Alternative RnB as opposed to the traditional RnB market. She is heavily influenced by Frank Ocean, due to his free thinking, along with the likes of James Fauntleroy, Lianne La Havas, Brandy, Jhené Aiko.
 
Fans and followers will notice that the sound of her music changes with every release due to her experimental nature, with her main strengths being her melodies, harmonies, tone, vocal range and arrangements.

The song Jeje was inspired by a brief relationship that had progressed too quickly.
 
The song is a break up letter packaged with soothing vocals delivered on a chilled acoustic instrumental.
Hxney says ‘‘The song was written from a pure state of consciousness, where I let my emotions flow freely. Jeje took me about 10mins to write unlike my previous work, and soon became one of my favourite songs of mine. 
 
As we wrap up 2020 and as I start my new era  as an artist, I felt like it was only right to share this with my listeners in order to introduce them to a fresh approach from me and connect with me on a different level”.

Waterford based singer/songwriter Mark Duggan is set to release a new single “Promenade Firework Show.” The indie-rock tune features layered guitars, a retro drum machine, and a nostalgic, 80’s rock feel.

Mark says, “My friends and I would always go to the firework show at the end of the summer in Tramore as kids. The song is a fictional story about a couple who do the same, and try to use the evening to rekindle their relationship, to shed themselves of the baggage they picked up along the way, start off clean and get on the right track.”

Mark was messing around with drum machine loops, and liked the combination of a static drum loop with a rough and ready tele-guitar sound. The drums were looped consistently while the guitar would go in and out with a looser feeling. He was inspired by Bruce Springsteen’s 1983 home demos, which would have used the same method.

Mark says, “A lot of things in the song work in pairs, to reflect the couple that the story is about. The lead guitar is doubled, with different effects on each, as is the rhythm guitar and keyboard; everything has its related pair. It's meant to be a metaphor for relationships: sometimes two people work perfectly together in tangent, and sometimes they don’t.” The song was recorded and produced in Mark’s home studio.

Mark is a singer/songwriter from Waterford. His music combines folk and indie with electronic elements, complete with clever lyricism and thoughtful songwriting. He is inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Joni Mitchel, and has been playing and writing music since he was young. He started releasing music in 2018 with the single “Hey Blue.” In 2019 he released “Long Way Home,” twelve continuous songs with no breaks that tells the story of a character who's been away for work for a while driving home late at night, trying to get there as quickly as possible. His most recent release was the acoustic single "As The Sun Hits The Day Down" in February 2020.​

Following the success of her heartfelt debut ‘Love Me Like I Love You’, November 27th sees Nana M. Rose release her second offering of 2020, suitably called ‘November’. This rousing, cinematic pop ballad filled with raw, heart-wrenching emotion showcases the Dutch singer-songwriter’s incredible vocal range, skillfully moving from deep, mournful tones to soaring highs. 
 
Just like with ‘Love Me Like I Love You’, Nana M. Rose allows the listener into her very personal world of emotion. “I wrote November after someone very close to me was​ dealing with a big loss in their life”​, explains Nana. “When someone this close loses​ someone so dear, it is really hard to watch the pain and struggle without having any power to hand a solution. There is no solution.” 

The song captures that feeling of despair and lack of control - something that everyone who’s dealt with the loss of a loved one will recognise all too well. “It is something that​ everybody will have to deal with in life, and that once you’ve experienced it, it stays with you, somewhere deep within.”
 
The personal and emotional feel of ‘November’ will be captured in an intimate, acoustic live performance video, set to be released in Mid-December. She says “November is one​ of the songs I love to play live the most. I always play this song last in my set because I give it my all and just feel emotionally tired afterwards. I feel this song so deeply.”
 
With two more singles and an EP already lined up for 2021, Nana M. Rose will continue to enthral listeners with her ‘powerful, moving and unforgettable voice’ (Fortitude Magazine).
