After a well-received 2019 debut (‘do you think it’s fine?), Ro released her second single (‘forgot’), which gained support from tastemakers such as Harriet Rose at Fubar Radio. Following a recent feature with LA producer Damon Steele (via PUZL Records), she’s back with a kick. Single no.3 is titled ‘low in the evenings’ and it makes you want to dance and cry at the same time. 
 
Blending a signature 80’s touch with a 00’s pop influence, the track delivers glittery vocals and charged-up choruses, reminiscent of some of Ro’s idolised female creatives, Grimes and Christine and the Queens. Growing up making demos with tape recorders, the now London-based artist produces all of her music, which has created a sonic ID with an all-in-one approach. 
 
Last year saw Ro performing at Laylow in Notting Hill for Trash Like You Records’ collaboration with The Circle (a charity founded by Annie Lennox) and 2020 has seen her also grace the stage at Ronnie Scott’s.  ​

Brooklyn based artist, Ernest Brockenberry, uses his music to tell stories of heartbreak, nostalgia, and coming-of-age in New York City's vast and extremely diverse landscape. Through juxtaposing soulful vocal melodies and lovelorn lyrics with percussive rhythms and soaring synths, he aims to create a world where one can not only acknowledge the feelings, but also move through them.
 
Growing up in New York strongly attributed to his desire to create, and to be connected to people. He began writing music at the age of 9, with the help of his older brother, and developed a fixation for writing to express himself. By the time he finished middle school, he'd filled up 3 composition notebooks with songs, and was known around school for sharing his lyrics with his friends, who he'd let write comments on all of them.
 
Ernest attended LaGuardia High School, where he studied instrumental music, and further explored his passion for the arts over the course of his 4 years there. He began releasing music in September of 2019, and has no plans to stop any time soon.

Irish singer songwriter, Faraway Martin, has a voice that according to Hot Press Magazine ‘leaves an instant mark on the listener’. He is releasing the first single of his debut EP entitled ‘The Lights Turn On’.

Since the release of ‘Falling In Your Sleep’ and 'I Wanna Go', Faraway Martin's presence in the music scene has grown substantially. He has established himself both at home and abroad, with regular appearances as a live act in Qatar, his adopted home in the Middle East, where he supported Boyce Avenue and Bazzi. In Ireland he has also opened for Aslan, Mundy and Hermitage Green.

The song represents the different stages of a couples life together, with a poignant ending from the penultimate line ‘the lights turn off’. Martin reminisces “I love playing this song live. It's the type of song that really engages the listener. When I look up after singing the last line of the song, there's often a few tears in the room. I love making that connection with the people.”

‘The Lights Turn On’ is the first single from Faraway Martin’s debut EP, which is scheduled for release later this year. Once the pandemic passes he will celebrate the release with live performance, continuing on from his previous appearances on the main stage in Whelan's, The Workman's Club and a sold out gig in the Roisin Dubh for his first headline show.

Faraway Martin has a voice that is the perfect vehicle for a pop song yet carries depth and maturity throughout which really connects with the listener. ‘The Lights Turn On’ is a deeply relatable song that disseminates a lifetime full of memories in under 4 minutes. Australian Singer-Songwriter Amela has built on her new soaring pop sound, following up from first single "Blame" with "I'm Alright". Recorded by upcoming Gold Coast producer Josh Beattie, Amela explains that "I’m Alright went through two different versions: a folk/indie and then the electronic-pop version but I feel that the second version is more true to what i'd like to include on the album. The recording process was quite smooth - we ended up keeping the demo vocals in there. I sang the vocals after teaching one day when I was feeling particularly tired so I think it added to the feel of the song well." 

The new track from Amela was inspired by Allday, with Amela explaining she originally wanted to pitch the song to Allday to collaborate on "I think when I was writing the song I had his sort of melancholic electronic vibes from his song 'In Motion' in my head so I wanted the final mix to resemble this track a little bit." Having released her debut album in 2017 Somewhere in Between, Amela began to receive national airplay on Triple J and regular rotation on community radio stations throughout Australia with her single "Push & Pull".

​Already possessing a long list of achievements, Amela has been sampled in Allday's "Codeine 17" and has collaborated with diverse international electronic producers including Astre, Clovr, as well as Sydney rock band Bad Pony. Amela also recently performed at the Woodford Folk Festival with Bosnian folk band Cardak and was a Gold Coast Music Award finalist alongside Amy Shark.

Now more ambitious than ever, Amela hopes her upcoming album in 2020 will bring a fresh sound and help her to expand musically, giving fans an exciting new journey to join with her. With Amela's new single "I'm Alright" having been made possible by receiving a grant through the Gold Coast Activate Music program, it's not hard to see the Sia-inspired artist reaching new heights. ​

A new face in the Leeds music scene, Before Me have been playing music together not only as a band but as best friends for 7 years. Having moved from their hometown Cheltenham in the South West to study music in Leeds last year, the boys have spent their first year in Leeds writing, refining and recording music.

Before Me have found a synergy between atmospheric, delicate, electronic textures and high energy, live band elements to produce a sound that is as exciting as it is original. The production of their musical sound world is key to the band’s DNA and is displayed perfectly through their forthcoming single Can’t Sleep from the self-produced EP Do You Feel.
 
Taking influence from modern British guitar bands such as DON BROCO, The 1975 and Bring Me The Horizon, it’s no surprise to find emotional, hard-hitting choruses interspersed with detailed, synthesised backdrops throughout the EP. Lyrically, it explores stories personal to the band yet highly relatable to the audience, depicting the complex nature of relationships in adolescence and the hardships they can cause. The single ‘Can’t Sleep’ is an example of this, and was written during a period of time in which a relationship of such, affected one of the boys in a difficult way.

​However, the cathartic nature of the song led to it becoming a seminal work for Before Me, further influencing songs to come. Whilst lyrically remaining transparent, the song naturally came into its own in a very short period of time, owing to the substance it possesses. It leaves nowhere to hide, and emanates a powerful sense of honesty – a value the boys hold dear to themselves as a collective, and as individuals.
 
Having taken a temporary hiatus from playing gigs to record and produce the Do You Feel EP entirely by themselves, Before Me are back, now armed with an arsenal of new music that is in line with where the band’s sound currently is. Before Me have a wealth of gigging experience under previous aliases, highlights of which include the Music For Youth Final 2015 (in which they won the best performance practise award, receiving feedback such as, “you write great hooks way beyond your age” at Birmingham Town Hall, 02 Academy Islington and many sold-out hometown shows. However, having taken the past couple of years to better themselves as musicians and as a collective, it’s safe to say there is a sense of maturity about the band’s sound and temperament.
 
Do You Feel will be available digitally on all major stores and streaming platforms June 19th. Can’t Sleep will be the first single released, with a music video to follow at a later date.​

Joe is a 24-year-old pop singer-songwriter from Bedfordshire. With over 100k streams on spotify Joe’s music has gone from strength to strength. Joe’s first single ‘Childhood Sweetheart’ was well-received and selected for a Spotify UK Soft Pop Songs playlist.  
 
His sophomore EP Chapter Two followed swiftly with further success. Joe’s single ‘Bring Me Down’ achieved new heights and was selected for a 2020 Pop Hits playlist, and included on Spotify’s New Indie Radar selection.

Humble and ambitious in her goals for the song, Vaeh hits the mark with "Monroe." Marilyn Monroe is just one of the many iconic female role models that Vaeh name drops on the track but was ultimately given the song title. "Marilyn Monroe, I believe, was very much a pioneer in shifting how women have been portrayed since the beginnings of cinema. I feel like she existed in a very confusing time and was highly misunderstood. She spearheaded a different sort of self-expression for women in the public eye. She was bold and fearless." Vaeh too is bold and fearless. Uplifting piano and drums create an epic and catchy ballad for Vaeh to sing her heart out to, and audiences can't help but sing along.
 
The Atlanta native's love of music started at just two years old. Her American mother and Lebanese father nurtured that love when they placed her in a traveling youth-choir. Her mother, a poet, has an especially important influence on Vaeh developing her lyricism and language. When she tragically lost her mother to suicide at just seventeen years old, the young artist's course was forever shifted. She stopped making music, left her high-school band, and started down a path of self-destructive behaviors and self-sabotage. When she finally returned to music, she was desperately searching for anything that could help her deal with the heartbreak. With relentless resilience and perseverance, Nadia Vaeh has grown into the artist and performer she is today. Her journey is not only self-healing though, as she seeks to inspire those around the world with her pop music. As she put it, "I would rather focus on uplifting and advocating for a worthy cause than on just catchy lyrics and melodies. We all find ourselves more or less in an Isolation Trap at the moment, don't we? It makes us be confronted with emotions and issues in our lives, that we didn't face yet. It's a difficult time for all of us, but also an opportunity. The young singer-songwriter Bianca Aristía based in Leipzig, Germany, took this chance and used the global Covid-19-situation as a source of inspiration to create new music.

The message is to connect with yourself and other people, even in times like these. It’s the only way to escape your own Isolation Trap. Everything is self-made here – from songwriting to music production, mixing, mastering and even the artwork with only 2 people involved – the singer herself and her keyboarder and producer Lennart Jahn.

The song, which is part of her upcoming Corona-inspired EP is kept very simple. Pop guitars are the leading elements combined with fresh R&B drums, which are very essential for a Bianca Aristía original, of course topped by the singer’s excellent and soulful vocals. Her voice enthused not only the entire jury of the TV-show The Voice of Germany in the past, but also the hearts of her fans, that she won over in her live concerts in Germany, Mexico, Spain, Italy and Belgium.
