uk singer ro drops summer bop 'mykonos' and it's catchy enough to forget about 2020 cancelled trips9/17/2020
Following the success of recent release ‘low in the evenings’, which garnered support from James Threlfall (BBC Introducing) & Shell Zenner (Amazing Radio), Ro hasn’t left us waiting too long for the next hook. ‘mykonos’ is the latest delivery from the electro-pop producer and it promises to transport you somewhere white and blue.
Written in the midst of lockdown, ‘mykonos’ describes that feeling we can all currently relate to - wanting to get away. The track glides between dreamy moments of ambience and then slaps with a bass-driven punch in the chorus. Tinged with 80’s disco elements, the track brings a new sonic direction for Ro but still stays true to her pop roots and modern day references such as Christine & The Queens and Tei Shi. 'mykonos' was released on 28 August 2020 and has already accumulated over 10k streams on Spotify within the first two weeks. Check it out via Spotify below.
