​1. You moved to LA with your brother and mother, what did you expect? How did you feel about the move?
I expected to see famous people and paparazzis everywhere, haha! Growing up in Australia that’s all we sometimes see on TV about LA. I was excited for a change but also sad, I felt like I was loosing everything because I was 13 leaving all my friends. Little did I know I was gaining everything. 
 
2. How did you get into LA Fashion Week runaway with only 14 years of age?
My mum submitted me for an online casting call and took the 18+ as a guide, lol. I just hoped nobody would ask me my age and thank goodness they didn’t, haha!!
 
3. Did you get into acting through your brother (Presley Massara)?
I had always had a passion for acting but never thought to pursue it until my brother did.
My brother was a huge part of my training and developing my acting skills, don’t tell him but I definitely look up to him as an actor. 
 
4. Starting to film your feature movie ‘Mayfield’s Game’ and a few TV Series in 2019 was that a plan of yours or did it just happen?
It wasn’t a plan.  It was more of a dream that came true and going to different sets everyday was amazing. I think it’s a goal of every actor to be busy doing what you love.  
 
5. Would you keep making music if your filming career is picking up?
Always. Music is a huge passion of mine.
 
6. You performed the Theme Song ‘Run You Down’ for Red Ruby while hosting ‘Brat Chat’, did you get a taste for singing then or did you always know you wanted to sing?
I always knew singing was a career I wanted to pursue.  Performing an original song on a show I hosted only helped grow my passion for it.
 
7. Who was your influence music wise when you grew up?
My brother definitely helped define my music taste, he introduced me to the queen Beyoncé!! We used to blast ‘Single Ladies’ morning, noon and night, haha! But a lot of my influence especially in my writing came from all the musicals I listened to.
 
8. Do you play any instruments? Which one was your first one to learn to play?
I don’t play any instruments, but I’m currently learning to play the guitar and piano.
 
9. You write your own songs. Can you explain your creative process?
Each creative process is different. Inspiration can come from anything and at anytime, but normally it hits me at night or after a major or even minor life change. I try to just go with the flow.   Sometimes you walk into a session with a concept, melodies and a plan, other times you walk in completely open to everything.
 
10. Is there a hidden message in your songs?
ALWAYS. I would let you in on them... but then they wouldn’t be hidden ;)
 
11. Who is producing your songs?
It depends. I try to keep it new and interesting and try different producers for each song, but I definitely have my favorites.
 
12. How would you describe the music you typically create?
Pop with an urban edge. It’s difficult to put music into a genre in today’s world just because I search for inspiration in all genres.
 
13. If it wasn’t for your music career, what would you wanted to become growing up?
I always wanted to be a Lawyer and follow in my Mums footsteps, plus... I love proving that I’m right. I also learnt to negotiate at eight years old... I can thank my grandpa for that. He taught me to negotiate my way out of eating foods I didn’t really like at the table.
 
14. Which of your songs do you personally feel is your best one and why?
That’s like picking between a child! Honestly, I have favorite moments in all my songs. Sometimes it could be a certain lyric and other times a melody etc.
 
15. What part of making music do you find most creative and why?
Music is built off of creativity.  Everything from the writing process to the music video comes down to creativity and each one has its own process and special place to me.  
 
16. What do you find most challenging as an artist?
Getting the right message across while staying true to who you are can sometimes be challenging, I tend to just go back to the drawing board and remember who I am.
 
17. What are your plans for 2020?
To basically live at the studio and on set, I have so many plans, many I can’t talk about but all very exciting!
 
18. Where do you want to be in 5 years from now?
Hopefully I’ve done a few more films, traveled with my music and released an album or two.
 
19. Do you have any single releases or Album release planned? How are you going with that?
Yes!! I’m releasing a new single “Squeeze” in February and I’m in the studio all the time cooking up a new project for everyone!!

21. What made you decide to collaborate with Alex Sampson?
He’s my commonwealth buddy, haha!! Plus he’s super talented and we both love Christmas music, it was the perfect combo!!
 
22. Are you coming back to Australia?
I come back all the time to visit family, as much as I love LA and have built a life and friendships here, I’ll always be an Aussie girl!
 
23. What was the funniest moment in your music career so far?
I’m at the beginning of my music career, so fortunately I haven’t had too many embarrassing slip ups yet... but I’m sure they’re on their way, once they come I’ll be sure to let you guys know what they are, haha!!

1. Since when have you been into music?
I started playing piano when I was around 10 years old. When my mum discovered that I could play by ear she sent me to piano lessons. 

2. So what other instruments do you play?
In addition to piano, I can play the electric guitar, acoustic guitar and I just started bass. I'm not rhythmically inclined so I can't play the drums at all.

3. What are your biggest influences?
Coldplay, U2, Bob Marley, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Ed Sheeran.

4. How would you describe your songwriting process?
I usually just write the melody by humming something accompanied by acoustic guitar. I save it to my voice notes on my iPhone and then just work on it and polish it until it becomes a song with actual lyrics. If I were to show you the beginning of most of my work it would sound like unintelligible mumbling with a nice melody. Takes a while for me but I usually get there. 

5. What inspires you when you write your music?
I haven't been genuinely inspired in a while but usually its world events or life experiences. For example a breakup, a loss, an injustice of some sort or sometimes I write myself a pep talk so that when I go out and play and I can't get a vibe I here the words and it builds me up. I'm really into protest songs like Bob Dylan stuff. I'm also really in that dude Alec Benjamin and the way he can fit unusual words into sentences. 

6. You are touring around Australia, what was the craziest thing that happened at a gig?
One time this dude came up to me complaining that I wasn't playing because I was using a loop pedal. That's about it. People are usually quite respectful to me. Since that happened when I'm playing original music I do a part in the show where I demo my loop pedal and show them what it does so that people 

7. What are your plans for 2020?
I've just had another kid so I'm taking it back a bit. I would love to write a song for some people and collab in the downtime. If there are any artists out there who need music, hit me up I've got hundreds.
